Narrative voice, as an important element of narratology, has been playing a significant role in the novel research and other fields. This thesis mainly applies the theories of narrative voice, the narrator, the omniscient viewpoint and women authority of narrative voice to the analysis of Vanity Fair and Jane Eyre of the novels of critical realism. This paper seeks to give an explanation to the relation between narrative voice and the related elements, and then helps the reader to get a better understanding of the novels.First of all, this thesis is devoted to make a brief introduction to the research background of narratology and narrative voice during the recent years as well as the relation between narrative voice and other elements to narrative voice. Secondly, this paper makes an effort to explore the literature features of two novels by way of applying the theories of the narrator, the omniscient viewpoint and women authority to the analysis of novels in order to assist the reader in getting a further comprehension of these two novels. Finally, the concluding paragraph discusses the particular features existed in two novels.
