| This paper is a study on Annual Chinese New Words based on the internet public opinions. It focuses on the effect and influence and other relevant circumstances of the internet public opinions about the Annual Chinese New Words. The methods to materials collecting were as follows:Firstly, the web pages about Chinese New Words in 2006,2007 were collected and classified. Secondly, the different viewpoints of internet public opinions were described and analyzed. Finally, the tendencies of opinions of netizen about new words were found out.The paper is a result of studying on the Chinese New Words, that based on the traditional of Chinese New Words study methods and achievements by means of modern science and technologies in new era. In this paper, general linguistics, sociolinguistics and psycho-linguistics were involved and the background, cause, type, structure, significance of Chinese New Words were included. Further more, the situation of social life and interpersonal communication, and the psychologies of creating and using Chinese New Words of netizen were investigated also.More important, advanced methods, computer and Internet technologies were used in the study on Annual Chinese New Words, the viewpoints of Netizen were analyzed and described. Consequently, the emergence of Chinese New Words, their impact to daily life and their development were predicted.The study on Annual Chinese New Words based on the internet public opinions can help people to know the Chinese New Words'emergence, meanings and effects to modern Chinese and people's daily life. The materials and results of the study can be a fundamental resource to sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics and social psychology.
