As the cell of society, family is an important place for the individual growth and socialization. The present studies explored the relations between family structure, family SES, family relationship, family developing stage, life event and family functioning, and found the effects of family functioning on individual behavior and emotion.Divorced families and the left-home-kids in junior middle school with the family structure is different from a complete family. Because their parents divorced or go out to work in a very long time, children of divorce and the left-home-kids lack of father or mother or both parents, their family structure is not complete. However, the family structure of the left-home-kids and children of divorce has different point, marriage of parent divorced families have been lifted, while the left-home-kids' parents marriage is not lifted, so the form, divorced families with the family structure is not complete, the family structure of the left-home-kids is complete. So, with the same points and different points of family structure in two groups, what will be the characteristics of family functioning is unknown.Family functioning will affect an individual's behavior and emotions. Study found that children have more problem behavior in family with poor family functioning. Family functioning impact on loneliness through two ways, one is indirectly, through the intermediary role of problem behavior to influence loneliness, the other is directly affected. Family functioning on the role of loneliness depends on family functioning condition. If family functioning of divorced families and the left-home-kids and complete family have significant difference, what are the relations among family functioning, social behavior and loneliness in three groups.This study focus on these two issues, questionnaires and interviews were used to explore family functioning in two kinds of family relationship-related disadvantaged children, study the reason of difference among divorced families, the left-home-kids and complete family's family functioning, explore the relations among family functioning, social behavior and loneliness in three groups. Study 1 used questionnaires to explore family functioning in two kinds of family relationship-related disadvantaged children. The results showed that: On the affective involvement and roles, Divorced families were worse than complete families; On the communication and roles, left-home-kids'scores were higher than that of complete families; There were no significant difference between divorced families and left-home-kids'families.Study 2 used semi-structured interview to study the reason of difference among divorced families, the left-home-kids and complete family's family functioning. The results showed that: guardians do not understand the children's ideas or feeling, be lack in-depth communication between guardians and children, have no time to communicate with each other were the main reasons for poor communication in left-home-kids' family; Three groups have different opinion of their family tasks and family environment, some left-home-kids thought their brother or sister or themselves didn't fulfill family responsibilities, they lack parental care, their family is not warm; Some children of divorce thought their parents or themselves didn't fulfill family responsibilities, they lack parental care and communication, family members lived in disharmony; All of the children who live in complete family structure believed that they live in perfect harmony. In divorced families, guardian took an excessive care of their child, while the parent who is not guardian don't care child.Study 3 used questionnaires to explore the relations among family functioning, social behavior and loneliness in three groups. The results showed:In divorced families, the affective involvement and communication significantly predicted loneliness of children; In left-home-kids'families, communication, affective responsiveness, withdrawal behaviors and controversial behavior can predict loneliness; In general family, the overall function, roles and withdrawal behavior can predict loneliness.The results of three studies showed that: divorced family's family functioning was the worst in three groups, followed by left-home-kids'families functioning, normal family's families functioning was the best. Roles and affective involvement of divorced families were significantly worse than that of normal families, roles and communication of left-home-kids'families were significantly worse than that of normal families. Family functioning on the role of loneliness related to family functioning conditions, family was the main factors of loneliness of children whose parents divorced, while family and social behavior impact on loneliness of normal children and left-home-kids together.
