"How to paint"has always been an inevitable issue in the creation of Chinese paintings. In the contemporary time, as the closeness and connection among painter, painting and appreciator have been enhanced, the paintings'appreciative funcion and perceived value should be taken into consideration more than ever. A piece of painting is not only a vivid reflection of real life, or of the relief of one's feelings, but has become of great importance with its"appreciative funcion"in its creation. In this paper, through the integration of"perceived value", methods and some basic theories borrowed from drama arts, I have argumented to bring"alienation"and"enstrangement"into Chinese paintings to strengthen the figurativeness and aesthetic feelings of this traditional art.
