Studies On Time Adverbs Of Changsha Dialect

The Changsha dialect belongs to the new Xiang dialect, which has a distinct local flavor in pronunciation and grammar. In this thesis I will try to investigate and research the time adverbs of Changsha dialect comprehensively, comparing with the time adverbs of Mandarin, so that I can systematically make a summing-up for the time adverb of Changsha dialect with its syntax, semantics and pragmatics. At the first, I classify the time adverbs of the Changsha Dialect as "Regular time adverb"and "Irregular time adverb" according to the study of the Pro. Lu Jianming and Ma Zhen, and then analysis a variety of time adverbs of Changsha dialect from the semantics, syntax and pragmatics; according to the difference of the similar time adverbs between Changsha dialect and Mandarin, I attempt to find out the characteristics of time adverbs in Changsha dialect. In this thesis, some common time adverbs of the Changsha dialect are particularly investigated, for example"刚才","流矢／黏哒(脚)","暴","侭／侭哒","横直","正满"and so on.The thesis has four chapters, which outline is following:0, foreword:it has five sections. The first section introduces the natural, geographical, historical conditions of the Changsha city in briefly, and introduces the phonology of the Changsha dialect;The second section introduces initials, finals and intonations of Changsha dialect; the third section introduces the overview of Chinese time adverbs'study in brief; the fourth section introduces the overview of time adverbs'study of Changsha dialect, and illustrates the significance of the thesis; the fifth section introduces the research methods and corpus source in this thesis.1, "The inspection and classification of time adverbs of Changsha dialect":it is the basis of this thesis which strictly defines the criteria about time adverbs, and do a exhaustiveness survey of time adverbs of Changsha dialect synchronically to ascertains their exact quantity. Considering the actual usage of time adverbs of Changsha dialect, I classify the time adverbs of the Changsha Dialect as "Regular time adverb"and "Irregular time adverb" according to the study of the Pro. Lu Jianming and Ma Zhen, and then sub-divide them into many categories according to the difference of the state they expressed.2,"Regular time adverb" of Changsha dialect:According to the relationship between the behavior or state which is expressed by time adverbs of Changsha dialect and talking time, the thesis describes and analyses three sorts of time adverbs from three different aspects (the semantics, syntax and pragmatics), and emphasize analyses several particular time adverbs such as"一路来","趁早","横直"and so on.3,"Irregular time adverb" of Changsha dialect:this chapter revolves around semantic and it's supplemented by grammar, then sub-divides these time adverbs into the several kinds. At last, this part emphasize analyses several kinds of particular time adverbs, and then sub-divide them into many categories.4, " The Position distribution of Changsha Dialect's time adverb" is the conclusion of this paper. This part Comprehensive studies on the position of the Changsha Dialect's time adverb as adverbial, and analyzes the factors that affect the time adverb. Furthermore, it's summarized that functions of time adverbs in different syntactic here.
