| With the acceleration of globalization, it is necessary for Chinese films to step into and connect with the international market, walking on the road of film industrialization. Nowadays, the Chinese contemporary has been trying their best to pursue the film industrialization, and the whole market presents productive view. However, the quality is not so satisfactory as the audience has expected. Within this period, the directors from the fifth and the sixth generation, on the one hand, seek after the industrialization in films, on the other hand, they tend to be "personality-dominated "in making the films so that to some degree they neglect the needs from the audience. The paper will focus on the thinking and the research on the social cognition in the Chinese contemporary films, with taking taking the theoretical basis from the broad and home into consideration. Besides, the paper will stand on the point of the audience to analysis the problems hidden in the Chinese contemporary films, in the hope of to give some effective advice.The whole paper can be divided into two main parts, the former (chapter one, chapter two, and chapter three) is based on the films theoretical research, and gives a detail illustration on the conception of cognition on social films, and pays much attention to the current situation of the films development and different historical stages of social cognition since the birth of Chinese films. Only in this way can Chinese domestic film solve its composing problem, and point out the main focus and innovation of the paper.The latter part(chapter four, chapter five and chapter six) mainly takes advantage of the figure got from the marketing research, and combines the specific films to research the social cognition of films within the films directed by directors belongs to the fifth and sixth generation. The paper explains its arguments from the following levels, "level of awareness", "level of story", and " level of culture", and analyse the composing performance of the Chinese films, discuss the evolution of the social cognition of the Chinese films, and investigate the inner mind of the audience. As for the results analysis, the author adopts to the ways of "data collection" and "case analysis", and directly show the current situation of Chinese film, the ubiquitous phenomena, the way of how to promote the Chinese domestic films, and direct the way of the development of the Chinese film.The meaning of the paper lies in that the composing tendency of the Chinese contemporary, the film composer are able to compose the films in line with the need of the audience.
