Pictures Boost The Prototype Matching Of Characters Learning Process In TCSL Students

The origin of Chinese characters is strongly related to pictures, as the ceaseless modernization of characters, graphic characteristic has lost their prominence. When teaching Chinese characters to non-native speakers, exoterica of characters represents a structural rule and method of constitution of a character, language learners find it difficult to relate its abstract symbol to its original meaning. Therefore, the study is using prototype model to match characters and graphics to understand the effect on learners in recognizing and memorizing characters through grapheme and graphic of characters.
