Recently, the education of high vocational is very prosperity. The mental health of vocational college students has been becoming one of the most focus studies in the health psychology. As we all know, locus of control, emotion and coping styles are very important to the mental health of students, Therefore, this research discuss the link among locus of control, emotion and coping styles in the high vocational colleges, which is aiming to provide theory basis and practical guidance for the vocational college mental health education.The instruments for this study are Internality,Powerful Others,and Chance Scale by Levenson, PANAS Check List(PANAS-R) by Mr.Qiulin, and Coping Style Scale by Mr.Xiao Jihua. It carries on the investigation to 890 High vocational colleges students in Shi Jiazhuang. SPSS 13.0 and AMOS 4.0 were adopted to analyze the inquisitional data, and analysis of reliability and validity, T-test, correlation analysis and analysis of multiple linear regression and otherwise were applied. The main findings were as follows:1. The locus of control of most vocational college students is internality.There are significant grades differences between the powerful others and Chance factor. The locus of control of junior than it of frosh trend to the chance and the powerful others. The locus of control of junior than it of sophomore trend to the chance.There are significant genders,origin and whether only-child differences on the powerful others factor. The locus of control of boys, urban and only-child trend to the powerful others factor.2. The positive emotion of vocational college students is more than the negative emotion.Multivariate analysis of variance showed that, the grades main effect of negative emotion is significant, the interaction of genders and grades, grades and whether only-child, grades,origin and whether only-child are significant.3. The students can take quite mature coping strategies. And in sequence they are problem solving, help seeking, fantasy, withdrawal, rationalization and self-accusation. Multivariate analysis of variance showed that, the grades main effect of mature coping style is significant, the interaction of genders, grades and whether only-child are significant.Multivariate analysis of variance showed that, the grades and whether only-child's main effect of juvenility and mixed coping style are significant, the interaction of genders and grades, grades and whether only-child are significant.4. Sense of locus of control, emotion and coping styles were closely related.Internality was in significant positive correlation with positive emotion; powerful others and chance were in significant positive correlation with negative emotion, but they were in significant negative correlation with positive emotion.Internality was in significant positive correlation with mature coping style, but it was in significant negative correlation with juvenility coping style. Powerful others and chance were in significant negative correlation with mature coping style, but they were in significant positive correlation with juvenility and mixed coping style.Positive emotion was in significant positive correlation with mature coping style, but it was in significant negative correlation with juvenility and mixed coping style. Negative emotion was in significant negative correlation with mature coping style, but it was in significant positive correlation with juvenility and mixed coping style.5. The emotion had an impact on locus of control and coping styles. The positive emotion played a partial mediator factor role in the relationship between internality and mature coping style. The negative emotion played a partial mediator factor role in the relationship among powerful others, juvenility and mixed coping style. The negative emotion played a partial mediator factor role in the relationship among chance, juvenility and mixed coping style.
