| The history of developing of the science technologies also is the history of process in truth-seeking. Along with the rapid development of science technology, people's opinions of truth are changing. But certainty theories are less and less when technology advanced. The modern scientists and philosophers try to find out whether there is a part of certainty knowledge in science, that is, if human knowledge has something are innate, self-evident. Salmon is also exploring this issue. In his view, knowledge is defined relative, not only by time and space constraints, also with probability. The high probability of successful experiment is a guarantee in certainty theory. Salmon's induction is such a rational concept, to determine the correct nature of knowledge is almost impossible, but as long as the assumption that a high success rate, it can be summarized as correct knowledge of family, at least in a particular time or space is formed. This article is divided into four parts. The first section is Salmon's concept of rational cognition. There are three aspects:tool cognition, dynamic cognition and induction cognition. These three are in the pursuit of truth, to define knowledge and propositions a cognitive point of view, and in his summing up his previous views, based on the intelligent use of his right to process the information drawn from the, there is conducive to people to truth, and further expansion into the thinking, is an indispensable way to acquire knowledge. The second part focuses on the concept of cause and effect Salmon was analyzed. In his view, a process is the physical connection between causes and consequences. His view of causality is actually a scientific explanation, including four types:Marked scientific understanding, scientific understanding of emotions, goals scientific understanding, and the scientific understanding, then to rational research from the tools of cognitive, dynamic rationality and induction rationality. The third part expounds the views of Salmon's realism. He is a realist, he expounded on two areas:empirical realism and logical doctrine realism. Analyzed from the rational, instrumental rationality, rationality and inductive reason dynamic and can rise to "probability theory", "tendentious"and other opinions, is an innovative implication. The final part is the comprehensive analysis of Salmon's locus of causality and realism from the standpoint of rationality. It looks at the relationship between causation and rationality, realism and rationality and locus of causality and realism. This paper uses a method of historical analysis and systematic summary to collect the views of domestic and foreign philosophers, and combing them. Also expatiates upon the process of seeking the truth by scientists and philosophers.Expounding Salmon's heuristic process of seeking the truth based on Salmon's cognitive thinking, and ascertaining the relationship in causality, realism and rationality, thus allowing a more clear understanding of Salmon's contribution to human knowledge. |
