| Shangdang Eight Musical Instruments Playing Concert is widespread in southeastern Shanxi as a folk wind and percussion music for 1000 years of history, its playing form is warm and hot, it is one of the most representative musical genres in Shanxi folk music, it was listed as "leading national intangible cultural heritage" in 2006. The study of Shangdang Eight Musical Instruments Playing Concert can be traced back as early as 50 years in the last century, research mainly revolve around an overview of eight tones and the music itself. Those researches for Shangdang Eight Musical Instruments Playing Concert are necessary, and it laid a solid foundation for this paper.However, with the increasing prosperity of the commodity economy, urban and rural people engaged in various business activities, no time to practices art and learn music score. In addition, it is long term impact of modern music, the original aesthetic manner changed, and it is able to sit down and listen to music are mostly old men, young people are gradually being conquered by the popular tune, viewers'scope is more and more narrow. The taste of original eight tones has changed, in order to attract audience in certain extent, the existing eight tones dissolve masses of other elements, and there is a growing resonant and dramatic tendency.This paper from a new perspective, to a music association as the research object, through the follow-up survey, using folk music and bring Shangdang Eight Musical Instruments Playing Concert in the background of custom and culture to learn "culture music "in order to be able to better grasp the essence of this musical genres. Suo Zhongxiu national music orchestra is active in the sub-county of Zhang zi, their performances are all permeated with local customs and reflected local culture. Their superb skills, excellent performance left a deep impression in civilians of Zhang zi. The name of "Suo Zhong xiu" is printed on the minds of the common people, as long as there is a need, people will think of them first.The two-year period 2008-2009,I was conduct follow-up survey for Suo Zhongxiu national music orchestra to obtain a large number of first-hand information, using dual-angle method completely record the activities of music association in funeral, happy event and open for business, I want to be cognizant the situation of music associations in a more comprehensive, and thus giving rise to new knowledge. This paper detailed study of the existence background, the member of music association, musical instruments, band preparation, playing form, perform procedures for Suo Zhongxiu national music orchestra. However, the study of traditional music culture can no longer be confined to music ontology factors research, it should be put music on it's specific nourished and lineage culture, and therefore, this paper special study of the music associations and rural customs interdependence, concerned that the economy's impact of music associations, and point out that the economy is the driving force for development of music associations. Besides, the transmission of the modern way of eight tones has been analyzed.Through case studies for music associations, can be seen that the driving force behind the region's folk music, development mechanism and styles in Shangdang. At the same time, Shangdang Eight Musical Instruments Playing Concert is an important component of the southeastern Shanxi region, to study it has important significance for understanding the development laws of music throughout the southeastern Shanxi, and it can be enrich the content, develop and explore the cultural features of southeastern Shanxi. Folk music can not develop without the development of local musical genres, the study of Shangdang Eight Musical Instruments Playing Concert will be conducive to a micro understand and macro grasp of China's percussion music associations and will be further enrich and improve our country's musical genres development system.
