| As a kind of cultural phenomenon, the propagation of the Annales School plays an important role in the Sino-French relations. According to the evolution of its connotation, it can be called The Annales School, New History, The Annales Movement or The Annales Phenomenon. Those conceptions are always complex and obscure. I will use "The Annales School", because it is used most frequently among the Chinese scholars.Based on a statistical analysis of the research about this School from 1956 to 2009 in China, the article reveals a series of changing images about The Annales School in the eyes of the Chinese scholars. From the transformation, construction and evolution of The Annales School in China, mentalities of the Chinese scholars in accepting and responding these achievements of The Annales School will be discovered, the methods and the logic of Chinese scholars in their research will be studied. Then, through rethinking the problems existing in Chinese academic circles, this article discusses the localization of The Annales School and the reasons of changing image.The introduction. This section points out the basis and significance of my dissertation, and narrates the present condition of interrelated research and the material collections, explains the definition of my research object.Chapterâ… . The First impression and the constructive period of the early image,froml956 to 1989.There is a change:at the beginning, the main image was received from the Soviet scholars and was lay a deep imprint by the communist ideology. Then the Chinese scholars independently translated and introduced the results from France and United States, and they pay more attention to such problems: the name of "Les Annales", the comprehension of "School" in the Annales School, the backgrounds and academic origin of her, the methods to distinguish different "periods" and "generations", her main viewpoints and characteristic, relations with the media, the relations between the history and other disciplines, the perspectives of Chinese scholars, the relations between the Marxism and the Annales School, the evaluations of her and so on. Besides, there are some debatable questions:study on "construction", the definition of New History, some mistakes in our study and translation. At last, I summarize the change of leading image and the reasons.Chapterâ… . Practical Period—adding some new images. From 1989 to 1999, the Chinese scholars used the ideas and perspectives from the Annales School to observe the social environment and its problems in China. Other than that, they tried to combine the Annales School with the traditional Chinese historiography. The spirit of reflection and critique are stronger than ever. Based on a statistical analysis, the Chinese scholars pay more attention to such problems:the rethinking of the comprehension of "School", study on the paradigm of The Annales School, the attitudes to introduce her, the different understanding of some conceptions: psychological history, history of mentalities, Intellectual History and so on; the women in the study of the Annales School, and how the Annales scholars study the China? At last, the conclusions and reasons of the change of leading image is summarized during this period.Chapterâ…¢. The stereo images. From 2000 to 2009, the materials are very rich, so I select intentionally. In this part, I analyze the leading role of the Annales scholars: Fernand Braudel, Marc Bloch, Roger Chartier. There comes out some master dissertations and Ph.D. thesis about the Annales School. Study on inspiration from the Annales School:the "time zone", Historiophoty and so on. And I conclude the leading image and the reasons of change.The conclusion summarizes the main change during the past 50 years, and talk about some questions which I am quite interested in, such as:the different speed of propagation in different areas in China, "strange" phenomenon in the academic study: selective reception, the stack and repeatable study, proportion of female scholars and their concerns. With the use of internet, database, what are the differences between the present and the previous images? But I haven't further in my master dissertation now. In the end, I explain some problems in my study. |
