In the mainstream society, homosexuals are always considered to be aliens and forced to living in a gloomy world, being victims of oppression and "Marginal Men". In the Bai Xianyong's novel "Crystal Boys", "Nie Zi" is another name for homosexuals, who are expelled or self-exiled from the mainstream society, being oppressed and afflicted, crying out for salvation. As a member of homosexual community, with compassionate heart, Bai Xianyong paid close attention to the plight of "Nie Zi", deploring their pain and helplessness, and seeking salvation for them. In this novel, Bai Xianyong also strived to appeal to the mercy in human nature, to achieve the equal status for "Nie Zi", and to help them get out of the dilemma and suffering. This thesis is making an attempt at discussing the salvation and compassion in the novel "Crystal Boys" and the subject of equal justice to "Nie Zi" and, by analyzing a wide variety of dilemmas experiencing by the "Nie Zi" and their struggles for salvation.
