Throughout lots of distinguished musicians in the late 19th century and the early 20th century in Europe, French composer occupied a nice bit of proportion. Integrated with romance, literary, nationality and many other elegant ambiences in one country, France produces a number of excellent songsmiths in this era of history, and as an outstanding representative of them, Gabril Faure did many enjoyable and classical works for posterity, moreover his art songs is greatly impressed by the width. He composed more then 100 art songs in whole life, Unlike German Franz Schubert's productive, each of his art songs are extremely delicate and exquisite. His art song, for example,'After Dream','Depression'and'MoonLight'etc, so far are still in concert's performance actively. And as a topping production in Faure medium-term, 'Nice Song'shows the essence of creativity perfectly.'Nice Songs'is a complete set of songs, it's created on the years between 1891 and 1892, via selecting the homonymic famous peotry anthology which is completed by France symbolist poet Paul Verlaine (1844—1896). This divertimento forsaked previously typical cafard and indifferent features, and has a charm of its unique style in exhibition of happiness and joy's keynote.This paper analyzes this works in 2 aspects. One is's creative feature. As we know, This set of songs was composed in the end of 19th century, in that time symbolists in France had raised Symbolism upsurge, so Symbolistic ideas and characteristics directly impact on Faure's musical creation, not only in lyric, melody and rhythm, but aso in texture, piano accompaniment can we find marking of Symbolism obviously. the other is about'performance styles. According to author's long-time vocality study experience and in basis of creative feature, this paper follows Faure's thinking track, traces the source and discuss it in detail. Various factors, such as style, pronunciation, tone, pronunciation, atmosphere, intensity and emotion,are used for comprehensive and concrete grasping this set of songs, and 3 classical cases are selected as the representative for particular study and analysis. I hope that with my efforts, it can make this divertimento more widely accepted and enjoyed by everyone.
