Research On Huashijian Fort Of Shanxi Military Town In Ming Dynasty

The Great Wall is the representative of national historical and cultural construction. The recent years, research on the Great Wall gradually arises. The fort is an important part in the Great Wall defense system, playing a crucial role in garrison,provisions and funds reserves for troops,defense and offense. Predecessors have more achievements in macroscopical discussion and textual research, but pay no attention to case study on fort.Through field survey, author arranges and researches in-depth Huashijian Fort, one of important military forts in Shanxi Town, and tablet inscription in microscopic view, draws the outline of historical facts of Huashijian Fort,and then opens up the new approachs of the Great Wall defense system in Ming daynasty.Chapter One is about general situation of Huashijian Fort,concering geographical locations and current situation. Chapter Two is about collecting historical data to narrating development process and military conflict in Huashijian Fort. Chapter Three is the key point, researching tablet inscription "A Tale of Founding Huashijian Fort" and "Zhenning" in Huashijian Fort. Chapter Four is about researching some historical figures concerning in relation to Huashijian Fort, and analyzing construction the Great Wall of Shanxi Town in Ming daynasty and the position of Huashijian Fort in Great Wall defense system of Shanxi Town.
