Chinese Traditional Door-god Art And Graphic Design

Chinese traditional door-god panting is one of the categories of traditional folk arts, which is an important representative of Chinese traditional folk art forms. Analyzing from the perspective of traditional folk art, the door-god panting is the ancestor of the folk wood engraving new-year painting. From the perspective of the folk art, this thesis is divided into two parts. The first part expounds the door-god panting culture of different historical periods from Early Qing to the Republic of China, and the changes and migrations of its artistic form.The focus is the analysis on the aesthetic culture and people's taste in the mind of different periods, which is main influencing factor of artistic aesthetics and form changes. The psychological analysis of aesthetic culture is also the reorganization to aesthetic changing progress of door-god folk culture. The second part expounds the inspiration of door-god panting artistic expression to contemporary graphic design. It deeply analyzes design elements and cultural background of Chinese traditional folk art form, and how to make it to gain new applications and new cultural meaning in Chinese contemporary design. This thesis analyzes the aesthetic characteristics of wood engraving new-year painting, and the analysis and reorganization of the beauty of this traditional process is the matrix of our innovation.Door-god culture art is made of two aspects, one of which is the material aspect. They are the existing door paintings or the brick carving or stone carving of tomb chamber door-god panting, which belongs to the intangible cultural heritage. The other aspect is the traditional aesthetic culture, which is the national historical accumulation. Culture is the product of national spirit. Blessing art form of door-god panting in Chinese traditional folk art is the carrier of culture. Research on door-god panting is the analysis and reorganization to aesthetic changes in Chinese blessing culture.The traditional graphic designs of door god paintings contain the most simple aesthetic ideal and desire of Chinese culture, which is the worship of Chinese ancestors to better life and natural lives.
