The Speeches in the Guanghan City and its Adjacent Five Counties are dialects in Sichuan, which are greatly different from the Chengdu Dialect, the distinctive feature is the ending tone which is still reserved in the Guanghan,Shifang,Xinjin and Xindu Speech. The Shifang,Shuangliu,Xinjin and Xindu Speeches belong to the branch of the Minjiang river delta of the Southwestern Mandarin in Modern Chinese Dialects, the Guanghan Speech belongs to the Chengyu area of the Southwestern Mandarin. There are few research results about the Speeches in the Guanghan City and its Adjacent Five Counties so far. Of the collected information, no articles on the Speeches of Guanghan,Shifang and Shuangliu are thematic.This paper consists of five parts:The first part is the background of the Speeches in the Guanghan City and its Adjacent Five Counties. The second part introduces Guanghan,Shifang,Shuangliu,Xinjin and Xindu's general situations on the geography humanities, the historical evolution, including the object, the time and the material used in field investigation on the Speeches in the Guanghan City and its Adjacent Five Counties. The third part is the contents about the sound systems of the speeches in Guanghan,Shifang,Shuangliu,Xinj in and Xindu, describing the initial consonants, rhymes and tones. The fourth part is horizontal synchronic. comparison:Comparing the speeches in the Guanghan City and its Adjacent Five Counties with Chengdu Speech which is the prevailing standard language of the Southwestern Madarin in Sichuan province. The fifth part is the table on the sound of characters of the Speeches in the Guanghan City and its Adjacent Five Counties.Using the methods of linguistic description and comparative historical linguistics, the thesis compares the sound systems of the Speeches in the Guanghan City and its Adjacent Five Counties with the system of the Chengdu Dialect to reveal the same and the difference of the sound systems of the Speeches in the Guanghan City and its Adjacent Five Counties.
