The change of four citation tones in stressed-light words are quite different from the stressed-stressed words. Especially with AA?stressed-light words, the change is affected by the part of speech.3,Neutral tones: The neutral tones of Linxi dialect are typical weakening tones, the length, pitch, intensity and quality of the vowels become weakened. The pitch of neutral tones turn into [2] or [4] affected by the front characters. The initials become weakened or turn into voiced are important phenomenons in neutral tones.4,Erhua:There are 23 ER rhymes, which is less than Mandrin. The ER rhymes fall into 6 groups. They are:?r,?r,?r,ar,?r and ur, most of ER rhymes have kaikouhu, qichihu, hekouhu and cuokouhu. This paper discribes and analyses the individual characters and phonetic changes of the Linxi dialect, which offers the addition to the study of Jilu Mandrin dialect, as well as offering certain references about sandhi tone, neutral tones and erhua to the study of Chinese phonetic.
