Research On Bound Phrase Title In Modern Chinese

Bound Phrase Title is a very important linguistic structure. In this article, we take advantage of the based theory of three planes to study this type of titles, so that it can be analyzed systematically and deeply, and compare with the bound phrase of natural sentences. This article is divided into seven parts:Part one, preface. The object, situation, method and significance of study is introduced in this preface.Part two,the meanings, classification and character of modification-center title. The bound Phrase Title is acted by bound phrase. It can be classified into"NPçš„VP"Title,Location Phrase Title, Prepositional Phrase Title and Conjunction Phrase Title. The basic character of bound phrase title is summarized from three plane angles.I(1)n syntactic analysis:the combination of insufficiency and excessiveness;self-sufficient in structure. (2)In semantic analysis: dingheit in semantic;dispensability in semantic.(3)In pragmatic analysis:markedness in topic;prominence in focus; implicity in title.Part three,"NPçš„VP"Title. The character of"NPçš„VP"Title is analyzed from three plane angles, and the NP and VP of title is studied. We put forward our points of view.We analyzed four points with an emphasis on"NPçš„VP"title as pragmatic presupposition: economy in lanuage; markedness in topic; coherence function on discourse.Part four, Location Phrase Title. The character of Location Phrase Title is analyzed from three plane angles. We put forward our points of view.The same as"NPçš„VP"Title, Location Phrase Title is nominal title with nominal function.But the abstract ability of Location Phrase Title isn't as good. It does't summarize the occurrence in the text. It designates the time,location range and so on. So it can intrests the readers.Part five, Prepositional Phrase Title. The character of Prepositional Phrase Title is analyzed from three plane angles. We put forward our points of view. We analyzed the Prepositional Phrase Title with an emphasis on pragmatic function. The pragmatic fuction of preposition is markedness in topic, prominence in focus and so on. The most important is prominence in focus.Part six, Conjunction Phrase Title. The character of Conjunction Phrase Title is analyzed from three plane angles. We put forward our points of view. The l argest characteristics of the conjunction phrase title is omission.Part seven, epilogue. The study content is summarized fully in this epilogue.
