This thesis details the research and analysis of the mirror structure in music. Through the comprehensive analysis and dissection of the works of the concerning mirror structure,it can give a comparatively accurate definition and category, and also summarize the characteristics. The thesis includes three chapters. Its method of writing incorporates the knowledge involved with the study of mathematics and physics, which is a new method that belongs in the exchange between different subjects. The thesis contains many ways to analyze and observe the different questions regarding the mirror structure.Chapter One:This chapter covers the definition and category of the mirror structure. The main purpose is to compare with the symmetry structure and to get a clearer view of the similarities as well as the differences between the two.Chapter Two:Multiple types of the mirror structure are described in this chapter. The first and second part depicts how the frame of the both sides in the mirror structure is equal. The third part shows how the frame can be asymmetrical. Besides the above metioned, it also covers the classical characteristics regarding the mirror structure.Chapter Three:The mirror's axis is an important aspect of the mirror structure. It will be covered in this chapter. The main points are the analysis and dissection of the mirror's axis. Finally, there is a discussion on the works of the mirror structure in the second half of the 20th Century, and a new vista in the future.The writer comes to the following conclusions:1.It illustrates a detailed definition and gives a category of the mirror structures in the thesis.2.The research method used in the thesis, a new way exchanges between various subjects, incorporates the knowledge of the study of mathematics and physics.3.The thesis expands realm of the mirror structure from the baroque period to the second half of the 20th century.
