Mendelssohn was one of the great 19th century romantic musicians. His life, though short, has left for posterity a large variety of genres of music, Western music history in an important position. Similarly, his art songs (Op.71) also has a deep artistic value, worth learning. This paper will discuss the following four aspects:The first chapter, an overview of Mendelssohn's life and art song composers profiles, and introduced Art Songs (Op.71) the background and importance of the creation.Chapter two, works of art from the characteristics of creative features and emotional characteristics to explain this set of three art songs of the musical characteristics and style featuresmusical ,this work is a fusion of classical and romantic, poetry and music is the perfect fit, is a fantasy combined with the nature theme.
