Chinese Kuomintang(KMT) is an important and influential bourgeois party in Chinese history. It has large scale and perfect mechanisms. During its 100-year history, KMT lost its political power three times. That is, in 1912 after Xin Hai Revolution, in 1949 after the Civil War Between KMT and the Chinese Communist Party, and during Taiwan local election in 2000.In this article, the historical features and source of KMT's three-time loss of political power were analyzed and compared in order to gain enlightenments from Kuomintang's failure.This article consists of three parts, In the first part, the features of KMT's loss of political power in different historical periods were described. For the first time, KMT was forced to give up its political power. For the second time, KMT was drove off the political stage. For the third time, KMT lost its political power in Taiwan local election.In the second part, the deep root of KMT's three -time loss of political power was analyzed. The common reasons of KMT's three-time failures include its ideological confusion, its bad organization ,its fragile rule foundation ,its corrupt government and the influence of the imperialism . At the same time, every failure that KMT lost its political power had its special reason. The key of KMT's failure after the Xin Hai revolution lied in weakness of bourgeois. The key of KMT's second failure lied in its reaction. The key of KMT's third failure lied in Li Deng Hui, leader of KMT, whodestroyed KMT's political life.In the last part, the enlightenments from KMT's failures were discussed .It can be concluded that the vitality of a political party lies in three aspects, that is, whether it can consistently represent the fundamental interests of the masses, the need of the development of the advanced productivity from start to end, and the direction of the most advanced culture.
