Combining the theory of production scheduling with the actual scheduling problems of the project - the development of MIS for FUDA Company, the theory, methodology and implementation of the mixed production are studied in the paper. In chapter one, based on discussing the challenge of the global markets and the change of the competition factors, some problems of production scheduling in practice are analyzed. Then the purpose, significance, contents and structure of the paper are presented.A scheduling model of mixed production is proposed in chapter two. The different scheduling characteristics of three production types- continuous production, discrete production and mixed production are first described, a solution is proposed that uses buffer to adjust the characteristics of mixed production, and a scheduling model that combines MRP and OPT is presented according to the production requirement of FUDA Co.In chapter three, the Production Order (similar to MPS), MRP and CRP in the scheduling are discussed in detail. Their production plan levels and the characteristics are described, the improved algorithms for Production Order and MRP that are suitable for the demands of the production in FUDA Co. are developed.Chapter four is focused on production scheduling. The production period planning and capacity planning in production are discussed respectively, and the method how to apply OPT in production scheduling to optimize the control of production process is presented.Chapter five describes the implementation of FUDA Management System. The DFD (Date Flow Diagram) and E-R (Entity - Relationship) Diagram of the three key parts of the system (production, sales and stock) are presented hi detail. The last chapter summarizes the achievements and shortcomings of the paper, the future research work is also suggested.
