Study On Information Sharing In Supply Chain

The research of information sharing in supply chain management is presented inthis paper. For the infonnation-sharing model, the optirnal inventory policies of amanufactUrer and its retailer are analyzed. Then the existence of the bullWhip effect inthe supply chain and its amplification with the demand correlation paraxneter and theleadtimes of the manufcturer and its retailer are proved. Finally, the savings of theinventory and cost at the manufacturer due to infOrmation sharing are verified. For amanufactUrer and itS retailer model and a manufacforer and its supplier model, theincentive policies to incent the retaller and the supplier attend the alliance Extranet arebrought forward. We also introduce the design of the alliance corporation's MIS.Based on the previous research results, this paper put forward the alliance corporationmay organize data warehouse together in Extranet to make good use of the sharing-information. At last, the safety of information sharing is considered.
