National Starch & Chemical Limited (China Region)

This thesis is written in form of case study. The main body of the thesis is composed of the case description and the case analysis part.In the case description part, business operations status of National Starch & Chemical Ltd in China, and logistics issues accompanying with the business growth, are presented.Analysis of issues confronted by National Starch & Chemical is introduced in the beginning of the case analysis part, and to solve these problems through MRP II implementation is provided. Following the problem analysis, there is a brief introduction to the MRP II basic principles, which is followed by the system model selection, software selection and the implementation and assessment of the implementation of MRP II.The thesis focuses on analysis of production planning, inventory management, sales order processing and purchasing order processing, which are key to the logistics management.
