One of the conditions essential for the power market operation mode of 'the separation of grid and plant, and bidding for grid' is that there should be independent price and control mechanism of electrical transmission. It is only primary stage of the electric power market to establish generation-side power market. And one of characteristics of the primary power market is that there are a lot of sellers but only one buyer in the market and the consumer cannot choose the power supplier directly, so the competition is very limited. To raise competitive degree gradually and realize the separation of transmission and distribution step by step, we should separate the transmission price from the distribution price. In addition, in order to improve the examine index system and the way of examination, which are being carried out in inside simulation power market between province power companies and regional power companies, we should study independent price of transmission and distribution. This paper demonstrates the research fruit about the price of transmission and distribution and concerning problems, and puts forward suggestions in several aspects as follows: (1) Transmission price. It includes the regulation of transmission price and the methodology for transmission pricing.(2) Distribution price. It includes the electrovalence regulation and the methodology for distribution pricing.(3) Implement. It includes charging and accounting for service of transmission and distribution, and requirement to the software and the data for transmission pricing and distribution pricing.
