Pondering Over Theory And Exploring Practice For Ecotourism

Mankind has been faced with a serious existence crisis. Following the "green wave", ecotourism developed and became a fashion of tourism.This paper begins with discussing of development course and the question that why and how the ecotourism could be developed so rapidly, then carried out a wide-range research into external and internal achievement. At the same time, a tentative research about the definition of ecotourism and ecotourist.Several basic principles and strategic goals to ensure the sustainable development of ecotourism and Chinese specific countermeasure are proposed. After a view of the interdisciplinary body of ecotourism, the topic will turn to the probability and feasibility of achieving sustainable development ecotourism and put forwards some basic ways and typical approaches.At last, as a practical example, Qinling Mountain probes into planning and developing ecotourism at particular sites, which will help to set a paradigm for regional tourism sustainability.
