This article is dedicated to fully discuss the national economic security (NES) for developing countries in the context of economic globalization. Aiming at this objective, the author makes an effort to give a trial definition of National Economic Security (NES). The NES is put as a state in which a country can obtain and remain the right to use necessary economic resources for the need of national sustainability and the improvement of welfare. Holding the definition as a analytical basis, the author explores the history and characteristics of the NES. With a consideration that the undergoing economic globalization has changed the circumstances for economic development and economic security of developing countries, this article put the emphasis upon some channels under which the global changes may effect developing countries, and the channels play roles in international politics, international trade or economic specialization, global capital flows, the development of technologies and cultures. Furthermore, the article has a try to explore the future of the NES for developing countries and reaches a basically pessimism conclusion, that is if the current structure of international relationship couldn't be reconstructed and make substantial efforts to help the poor country members, the condition of most developing countries in international economic specialization will never be improved and their national economic security will still be a serious challenge for a very long time in the future.This article is divided into four parts. The first chapter, as the beginning part, gives out a definition of the NES and explores the meaning, characteristics and history of the NES. Consequently, the particularity of the NES for the developing countries is discussed. Methodologically, the NES for developing countries is put into the context of a global system. The authorholds that any effort in this field must set a linkage between realities and history otherwise the effectiveness of a theory may be questionable.The second chapter is dedicated to the analyzing of the channels in which the economic globalization affects developing countries. To convenience of expressing, the exploration of the channels and the analyzing of the impacts of the economic globalization are combined. In this part, the economic globalization as a background is discussed first, and the rest of this part is given to the analyzing of the effects of international politics, international trade or economic specialization, global capital flows, the development of technologies and cultures.Chapter three is the smallest part of this article. First this part discusses some essential points of comparative advantage and trade liberalization and the author consists that the spread of some popular ideas may be harmful to developing countries despite of how many people believe in them. The second session discusses some arguments about the latter's advantages and the opportunity windows.In the last part of the article, the author makes a try to explore the future of the NES for developing countries. What's most important is the analysis about under what conditions the NES of developing countries can be resolved.And furthermore, the author in this part discusses three ways for developingcountries to deal with their NES.
