Study On Regional Economic Disparity And Selection Of Strategic Industry In Anhui Province

Regional disparity is a phenomenon inevitable in the process of economic development with all country (region) and Anhui province is no exception. It is important to implement the whole province coordinating development by studying regional economic disparity, establishing the macroscopic economic policy and district strategy of development. This paper chooses three representative indexes---per capita GDP,structure of production and market developing standard, analyzes the statistics since the implementation of reform and open-up policies by means of statistic analyses and mathematic models .It is concluded that there exists regional disparities in the economic development of Anhui Province and shows that its change is complicacy and that the trend increases in the future. This paper also analyzes the reasons for disparities regional formatting from the aspects of natural ,economic and social factors .Then, some advices are given that the strategy of regional coordinating development should be employed for the purpose to accomplish sustainable development.There are two ways to employ the strategy of regional coordinating development: incline to region and incline to industry. Anhui Province is in the early or middle industrialization period. To solve the question of regional disparity and to implement regional coordinating development, it is an important measure to put great emphasis on the proper selection of strategic industry and the energetic support given to it. This paper analyzes the condition and principle following in developing strategic industries and takes into full account the natural, economic and social factors of Anhui Province as well as the situation at home and abroad. Then criterion model and selective model are set up to select strategic industries in Anhui Province and these industries are analyzed qualitatively.
