| After the ending of "Cold War", facing the reconstruction of the world structure, India has adjusted its policy of diplomacy, changed the cognition of itself and formally brought up to the requirement of becoming the great power of world in the twenty-first century.The Indian Strategy for Great Power, in this article, means a strategy of diplomacy to realize the nation's political purposeæ¡žecome the great power of world, which should base on its national strategy resources; should hold the opportunities tightly that the way of the economy to increasing has changed, and that the transformation of the world structure has taken place; should try hardly for the acknowledgement of the great power position by the international community and realize the maximum of the national interest.The paper is divided into three parts.The first part: the production and development of Indian strategic thought for great power.This part primarily studies the history of Indian great power strategy thoughts and the formation and development of the strategy. 1, The sprout of the strategic thought . In all of ancient country of civilization, India represents the empire civilization of the long and big unification as well as China. " Similar to China, India was very familiar with managements in big country , and they have a basic idea to handle ... with the relation of the other nation."1 the superior of traditional culture promoted the sprouting of the strategy in India with pathetic colony history together. 2. The formation of India strategy thought for great power. Jawaharlal Nehru was the chief diplomacy theoretician of India; the thought of his diplomacy laid the thought foundation of the national diplomacy strategy in India.
