Strategy transition is a continual challenge for companies in modern society, and a change which companies have to proceed under the upheaval of internal and external environment. But till now still no monographs about strategy transition were published. This thesis at first particularize three cases about strategy transition. The first case is about the transition of France Alcatel co., ltd., a Fortune 500 company. The second case relates to China Konka, a China Top 500 company. Another one described the transition of Hong Kong Venture Apparel Company, a small company. This text have objectively described the measures and effects which the companies involved in these cases have taken during transition. Based on these cases, tightly connecting with Chinese reality, this thesis have revealed that strategy transition is an operational dilemma which companies have to confront with under the factors such as economical globalization, network informazation and industry construction shift, etc.. Followed by analyzing the categories of strategy transition and the differences among these categories, this thesis put forward the Key Factors for strategy transition. These key factors include strategy, leadership, business process management and continual improvement, and can be classified into nine factors which compose clear and shared vision, transition based on the core competences, right transition occasion, strong leadership to incentive total employees participation, reshape corporate culture, improve key process, new strategic performance appraisal system, harvest short-run achievement, transition systematization. Through using value chain+VRIO model, IFE matrix, EFE matrix, balanced scorecard, business chain etc., this thesis have analyzed the companies involved in these cases, and have concretely proved the importance of each factor to the success of transition. By connecting the key factor model with the general strategic management model, this thesis revealed that these factors have penetrated into each phases of strategic management。This thesis also taking few transition examples of other companies, fartherly elaborated the key factor model. In the end, this thesis put forward countermeasures for strategy transition, and suggest that companies establish strategic management institutions, strategy early warning mechanism and strategy control system to grasp transition occasions, to differentiate transition travail and operate strategy transition rightly. The study of this thesis is founded on the real cases.
