The Study On Comprehensive Evaluation Of Informatization Level Of Manufacturing Enterprises

Manufacturing industry is the strong backup force of national economy. The development of Manufacturing Informatization is not only a requirement for manufacturing enterprise to be adapted to economy globalization and the entering WTO of our country, but also an essential action to carry out thoroughly the strategy of "To drive industrialization by information and to promote information by industrialization". At present, the basis of manufacturing informatization is not strong enough. A whole system of evaluation, which is objective, effective and integrated, is in urgent demand. Hence, the dissertation focuses on the following aspects: 1 According to the characteristics of the manufacturing enterprises in china, this dissertation designs the index system and determines the ways to calculate each index. 2 Use both Analytic Hierarchy Process and Principle Component Analysis to complete calculation of the weights of indexes. This method can fully consider not only the advice of experts on the relative importance of each index and the policy of government, but also the relation between the indexes, and hence decreases the redundant information and increases the accurateness of the evaluation. 3 According to the characteristic of the index system, many methods of normalization have been analyzed from which a proper method (liner normalization) was chosen to normalize the value of each index. 4 Comprehensive evaluation has been used to complete the evaluation of the informatization level of manufacturing enterprises and finally a integrated evaluation system has been set up. 5 With the evaluation system set up by the dissertation, data from 160 manufacturing enterprises in a certain province has been collected. The informatization level of these enterprises has been evaluated, on the basis of which a comparison has been made between the Chinese enterprises and enterprises with investment from foreigners. In the end, the research work done by this dissertation has been summarized and some prospects have been put forwarded.
