Both classical and modern organizational theories are the base of organizational reform and innovation in the practice of enterprise management. So it is indispensable to recall and analyze the existent theoretical opinions about organization for its reform and innovation. All types of organizational structure models are adopted by different enterprises, which means the economical rationality of existence of development for each organizational structure model. Although every organizational structure theory of traditional enterprises embodies its particularity of industrial economy, every organizational structure model builds internal management frame according to its own character. In the enterprises with different organizational structure model, assignment of managing power, level and magnitude of management, interrelations among different departments are different respectively. Regarding the particularity of organizational structure, the efficiency in different organizational structure model conforms to different enterprise.Here take the organizational structure change by JiLin Automobile Co., Ltd. (JAC) as the object to evaluate and analyze, to analyze the external feature of enterprise structure.1. Enterprise boundary. Chandler' s opinion: to determines the size boundary. Williamson' s opinion: to underline the boundary according to asset special use. Coase thinks that enterprise boundary can not extend endlessly because trade needs cost. The boundary definition of JAC conforms with Williamson' s opinion. The boundary is not changeless, but changes with time and business strategy. To determine the boundary correctly is important for its development.2. Function of inter-organization. Its existence is of some rationality. It lies between internal and external organization. It can be either born outside the enterprise or derive from within the enterprise. JAC s management benefits from the inter-organization.3. JAC s enterprise series. It refers that a big enterprise merges a batch of big enterprises, and sets up solid coordination relation then forms into a production system in which the core is the big enterprise and the leader' s system is to regard the original item as the main item. Advantages of cooperation between JAC and suppliers:Reduction of producing parts can save cost for producing and exchange; Reduction of self-marketing ratio can pre-control the sub enterprise. Pre~control can reduce the stock, which shorten the capital occupation period. This kind of external coordination is better than the internal coordination.Internal character Analysis of JAC' s transformed organization is as follows:1. Flattening of JAC organizational structure. From 3-level to 1-level management makes enterprise flattening. From vertical structure to flattening structure can be finished by steps. Advantages: Leave staff some preparation time; Give personnel evaluation and leader' s dispatch more preparation time. Organizational structure flattening can lead to management vacuum, so it needs to make up and define the development duty.2. European and American Corporations rebuild the enterprise from two aspects: based on the business procedure; According to new skill of information technology, foundation is inadequate for JAC to reform the procedure from these two aspects. JAC changes the whole management flow when changing the organizational structure. Most enterprises can flow by this means.3.Flattening is necessary to bring the demand to expand the management scope of stratum-organization. The definition of JAC workshops is made by processing departmentalization character. Merging of the same business workshops can be done by training and positing changing, which can reduce the quorum. While sharp reduction of heads of workshop can lengthen the management span of workshop stratum-organization.4. Turn the same kinds of personnel and their work into one department and make them work under the direction of one manager, which can contribute to the coordination.
