The Chinese subway experienced the government has taken care of everything under the condition of planned economy to commercialization operation under the condition of market economy. In this process, the financing system of subway construction have had the huge changes, the funds of subway construction has changed from invested by the central authorities finance to the local finance, and then to the capital market. The present actual situation is the subway construction cost soaring, the government financial resources are limited, thus the subway finances become difficult. But no matter the subway company adopts stock financing or liability financing, all request the subway company to be able to gain. In order to solve subway financing problem, to constitute subway profit pattern has become necessary. So that the subway company can make profit to construct, to operate and to return the loan.The paper first analyzes the domestic and foreign subways development survey, proposed that some problems exist in Chinese subway construction, and thought these problems root to lie in lacking the profit pattern research. But as the worldwide difficult problem, subway profit pattern has the stronger microscopic operation foundations. Thus from chapter two, after retrospection of some theory related, this paper according to the reality of Nanjing subway company, analyzes the profit pattern. And thinks that the policy loss problem lie in seeking good compensate mechanism, such as first compensates through the ticket price income, then compensates through the resources development, unifies TOD to carry on the land development income to compensate, finally considered the compensation mechanism through the government finance and so on. The last half part of this paper based on the thinking of revenue added and cost reduction, from revenue added aspect, the paper think how to price the carfare of metro scientifically and to use price strategy appropriately. Then think about to put more emphasis on metro resource developing and to reposition it. Take advantage of transit oriented development thinking to elevate to the value of asset around the metro line so as to attract more people to travel by metro. From cost reduction aspect, first the paper think to control the cost of metro construction and select the finance project appropriately, then this article introduces modern company governance and scientific management model, so as to reduce the cost of metro operation, improve the service quality. In the last, the article put forward to the common process of unprofitable urban infrastructure construction, and give the relative policy.
