View On The New Change Of The Theory Of Democratic Socialism From Blair's "the Third Way"

After the ending of the Cold War, the Left Wing in the West getting through chaos and depression brought by shocking hit, utilizing the exhaustion and sag, put forward new theory and opinion on policy represented by the Third Way of Blair, primer of Britain, the leader of Labor Party, and by this, advanced to the front of political stage of the West. The Third Way greatly advocated by Blair is not only a new political thought with reformist content, but also a new choice of policy and practice with great character of pragmatism. The thought that market economy and social egalitarianism instead of market society and individual egalitarianism are needed has become main thought in the modern West. By adopting Marxist dialectic, analyzing and criticizing the Third Way of Blair, and comparing with traditional democratic socialism, we can master the general orientation in development and tendency in European and American capitalist countries to reflect on new orientation of contemporary democratic socialism, expose the nature of capitalist dominion, reveal the inextricable contradiction still existing in capitalist society to further firm our confidence on construction of Chinese characteristic socialism. Since the Third Way of Blair first coming forth, it has become the hotspot of international scholars, however, study on its comparison with traditional democratic socialism and disclosure of its nature have not been systematic. Therefore, the emphasis on study of this thesis is in two ways. The first is to analyze and compare the Third Way of Blair with traditional democratic socialism to reveal its Right Deviation and its nature of capitalist party and capitalist dominative tool. The second is to deeply anatomize the nature of the Third Way of Blair to analyze its tendency and foreground. Main body of this thesis is composed of four parts, that is, the temporal background of the Third Way of Blair and its policy and allegation; comparison of the Third Way of Blair with traditional democratic socialist theory; the nature and tendency of the Third Way of Blair, try to fully and deeply analyze and cognize it to master its difference from traditional democratic socialist theory and relation with the theory and demonstrate the new change of democratic socialism theory in the modern society.On the nature and tendency of the Third Way of Blair, the opinion of this thesis is that the nature of the Third Way of Blair is still capitalist reformism and defence of capitalist dominion. Its aim is, by conciliating contradiction, anesthetizing people, indulging capitalist expansion and popularizing hegemony, to reestablish British status in the world to set up a new international economic and political order dominated by the developed countries in the West. Its rising shows the coming great crisis for capitalism and its failure is unavoidable.
