Study On Urban System Development And Optimization Of Spatial Distribution Of Yangtze Delta Metropolitan Areas

In the background of integrative economy all over world, the urbanization of our country enters a fast-developing period. Metropolitan Areas is the result of industrialization and urbanization which is the embodiment of centralization and radialization when the metropolis is developing to a new century. Metropolitan Areas plays a important role of cosmopolitan city in the system of global city network, and more and more dominates global economical life line. Division of labour, cooperation and competition in metropolitan areas will determine the pattern of the international economy , politics in the 21st century.In our country, Metropolitan development is a important motive force of urbanization and fast-developing urban modernization, it is also the important growth pole of regional economic development. Yangtze Delta, Zhujiang River Delta and Bohai Bay region are three metropolitan areas in China which are leading Chinese economic development and participating in international competition. Among them, the Yangtze Delta is most developed, which has the fastest economy developing speed and most intensive cities At present, as the largest metropolitan area in China, Yangtze Delta region is becoming one of the famous metropolitan areas in the world.This paper, in virtue of plentiful literature information and on the basis of scholar research and application, makes a accidence study on urban system in the area of the Yangtze Delta. The paper analyzes the current situation and existent issue of urban system of the Yangtze Delta region, puts forward countermeasures and advices for optimization. The paper separates into six chapters, its fourth and fifth chapter are emphases. First, the paper analyzes comprehensively the macroscopic background conditions and regional present basis conditions, introduces the purpose, structure and frame of the thesis. After that, the paper introduces the concept, connotation, characters and practices of metropolitan area. Chapter three reviews on theoretical research of urban system, recommends the relative theories and methods which the study needs. Chapter four analyzes the current development situation and existent issue of urban system in the area of the Yangtze Delta. Chapter five puts forward some advices in order to perfect the urban function and scale, optimize urban spatial distribution, build the rational urban system, etc. The last chapter of the paper makes a conclusion and proposes suggestion.
