The Study Of Mao Zedong's Democratic Thought

Mao Zedong'cause is pursuing the people democracy and realizing the rights of the people as masters. The characteristic democratic outlook of Mao Zedong is affected by his view about"the mass politics". Mao Zedong'democracy is the people's democracy thouht, democratic central- ism is the methodology. Wo can say, the people democracy and democratic centralism are two main lines in Mao Zedong'democratic thought.Mao Zedong'democratic thought has deep theory origins, it is inheritance and surpassing of the"people-based"thought in Chinese civilization, the democratic view of the westen bourgeoisie and the Marxism democratic view.Thought is originated from the history as well as affect the historical process. Mao Zedong begin to explore the system design of the people's democracy thouht, which lay a foundation for chinese democratic politics. These system consist of the state system of people's democracy dictatorship,the people's congress system, the multi–party cooperation system leaded by CPC and the national autonomic system. Because of his wrong judgement about the domestic and international situation, Mao Zedong who is in his late years made a big mistake in democratic practice and lead to the tragedy of"big democracy"at last.In the today of constructing the socialist political civilization, Reflection on Mao Zedong'democratic thought and practice is of great theorectical and practical significance.Theoreticallyspeaking,there are two problems in Mao Zedong'democratic thought which are the tendency of essential democracy and the tendency of the methodology.Practically speaking, Under the background of globalization,we must keep the democratic direction with chinese characteristics which is initiated by Mao Zedong.Under the Situa- tion of the market economy,wo must ensure the rights of the people as masters. It is proved by historical practice that we must adhere to the leadship by CPC in the construction of chinese democratic politcs.
