The deaf and mute people have lots of obstacles in communicating with common ones because of their hearing and speaking difficulties. In addition, deaf-mutes are always low levels of education, lack of human and social resources and living in extremely poverty, which make them feel inferior, so as to be pushed into the vulnerable group, isolating from normal social activities. Only if deaf-mutes could take part in jobs access to economical support and social interactions, they thus achieve real integration with the society to avoid marginalization. It is believed that employment is the most effective way to help them.Based on the theory of social exclusion and integration, in the way of observation and interviews, the paper describes the deaf and dumb how to select jobs and what to do at work in the background of social transformation. And then the paper reveals responding various social supports and their effectiveness to the deaf and mute.The paper is divided into four main parts. The first part introduces the purpose and meaning of the study, explains the method and subjects for the investigation and reviews the existing study and theories of employment and social support; the second part discusses the current employment status of the deaf mutes, emphasizes their employments characteristics and mode with theoretical and practical data, and mainly analyzes their disability characteristics, employment factors and employment patterns; the third part gives details of deaf mutes facing social exclusion in job hunting, and tries to find the main type of social exclusion and reasons for social exclusion which include intrinsic and external factors; the forth part discusses modes of social integration with deaf mutes, governments, communities, neighborhood and family are necessary elements for deaf mutes'integration, countermeasures are put forward to help deaf mutes get jobs better and back to the mainstream society.
