The goal of this article is to study the formation and development of the strategic theory of China's Peaceful Rise. We first define the concepts of the China s Peaceful Rise, and meanwhile analyze the supporting basis of it. Then along with the historical line, we combed the related thoughts of CCP leaderships, especially the present leadership. Finally, we explain the far-reaching significance of it.We hold that the practical process of the peaceful rise comes earlier than the definite formation of the theory. China was already on its way of peaceful rise as early as 1978, when she began with Reform and Opening Up. The forming of the strategic theory of China s Peaceful Rise, as a process, is well in line with the practical process.Based on such an idea, the strategic theory of China s Peaceful Rise came into being after three periods. The seedling period: the Party Leaders represented by Deng formulated the two main subjects of time: peace and development, which could be regarded as the seeds of the strategic theory of peaceful rise. But it's true that the theories of middle range doctrine, mutual respect principle, and the three worlds demarcation of Mao's generation also contributed much to the emergence of the theory. The initial period: the theories of the Responsible Great power, the Great Revival of the Chinese Nation, and thinking of Harmony but Different of the Jiang's generation, show that the strategic theory of China's Peaceful Rise began to shape. The formal formation period: the present leaders of CCP formally titled the Chinese national strategy as peaceful rise and interpreted the general idea.
