The reform of electric power industry brings electric power enterprises from a monopoly enterprise to a synthetic market operation body, meantime these changes bring great challenge to the corporation's idea, mode of management, market support and environmental protection technology. How to answer for these challenges is becoming a pressing issue for electric power enterprises, which includes the power corporation in C city. An important solution to answer for these challenges is to strengthen human resource management, especially the human resource training. By establishing human resource training system for perfecting the enterprise, it is essential to strengthen pertinent training in order to explore talents'potential and to enhance staff's overall quality and loyalty. Therefore, the cohesion and power in the enterprise can be promoted. The enterprise has the ability to provide powerful talents and intelligence support for the increasing competitive market, to improve the competitiveness of the enterprise to meet the market requirements and achieve a sustainable development. This dissertation illustrates the definition, goal and meaning of human resource training,incorporating its real practice in C Electric Power Corporation and analyzed its current situation . It is considered that the current situation reflects the low level of staff's education, the inadequacy of advanced-titled talents and top professionals and experts. In addition, the structure and level of advanced talents and team leaders of basic units are not reasonable. The educational qualifications of some team leaders are low. The number of middle age cadres is lower than normal and that of aged leaders is higher than expected. All these problems must be resolved by training. But from current training we can see some malpractice such as "misunderstanding of the training idea", "insufficiency of training needs information", "conflict between job and training", "lack of trainers and infrastructure", "problems in training management and training service", "lack of evaluation mechanism of training performance". Aiming at these issues existing in training, the author put forwards strategies to solve these problems, which includes changing ideas so as to answer for challenges, establishing the needs analysis system,solving the inconsistency between job and training by modern means, improving training management and service quality, optimizing training staff, increasing the investment of infrastructure, establishing training performance assessment system and so on. The author hopes these opinions and suggestions can be helpful to improve the training and competitiveness in the power corporation of C city so that it can take an invincible position in the changeable marketing environment and intensive competition.
