The Formulation Of NATO New Strategy And Its Development Trend In The Future

NATO is the most powerful military alliance in the world today, and belongs to those most successful international organizations in history. After the Cold War, the bipolar world disaggregated, which is important to the existence of NATO. But it develops with times, comes on by transform. This article just begins with it, trying to analyze the historical origins and times setting of the New Strategic Concept in the former two chapters. All of this means that at first, the U.S. try to transform the NATO to its tool of pursue diplomatic strategic, so the globalization of its national interest must lead to the globalization of alliance defense zone. Secondly, the contradiction between the U.S. and the Europe will make NATO's political function more prominent, which is not only the outcome but also the effective way to slow it down. Finally, the current situation of national power decides Russian defensive policy to NATO at present; the alliance will not stop constructing the new security pattern of Europe, which means NATO is the leading factor in it. At the same time, NATO's extrusion to the living space of Russia will be continued.
