Shanghai Harmonious Society Construction Clairvoyance From The View Of Development

Shanghai has had great progress in economy, while still appears some disharmonious situation, inclduing rigorous employment situations, extended income gaps, unequal education opportunities, incomplete society security, and etc. These problems have seriously obstructed overall development of Shanghai citizens. With the guidance of new viewpoint of development, Shanghai has been paying more attention to the improvement of residents' quality of living and the construction of harmonious society. The final objective of development is the realization of human overall development. Based on this idea, the dissertation did the study on the construction of harmonious society from the view of human development.The dissertation collected various related data of human development measurement, and did the evidence analyses by the time-sequent and transverse compare, to deeply reflect on the actuality and shortages of Shanghai human development. The dissertation firstly judges the progressive speed of Shanghai human development and the relation between Shanghai economic development and human development. Secondly by the contrast to Singapore and the reference to Norway, the dissertation analyzed Shanghai achievements and shortages of three basic concepts of human development—life expectancy, literacy and basic income. Thirdly with the guidance of new viewpoint of development, the dissertation emphasized on some residents livelihood problems by the compares to other countries and cities, which clearly indicate several shortages of Shanghai human development. Finally according to the shortages of Shanghai human development and the objective to Shanghai harmonious society construction, the dissertation put forward seven proposals to promote common development of overall citizens and harmonious development of entire society.
