| Economic globalization and regional economy will become the leading factor and vital current in the future. Establishing the free trade region is the trend of the world economic development as well as the important measure for all the countries to seek for the native economy development, the countries in the world have established the different types of free trade regions and the member in WTO participate at least one or several free trade regions, the free trade regions begin to connect. China-ASEAN free trade region will be established in 2010 after a long time discussion and negotiation, which is the largest free trade region in the developing countries, whether the free trade region can be established in time , it is depend on the legal system to specify China -the items' construction in ASEAN free trade region .This paper introduces the tides of all the countries join the free trade regions from the concept of free trade regions, the driving roles of trade and invest growth in all the countries, and China — the construction of ASEAN free trade region and the strategy meaning and prospect for China's society and economic development. This paper elaborates the legal basis , legal quality and the legal status of ASEAN free trade region in terms of the related legal system in North America free trade region , European Federation and other free trade regions , therefore, to put forward to form the main factors of free trade region from the legal angle , develop the legal status in ASEAN free trade region, perfect the legislation in inner economical relation and put forward some opinions and suggestions on developing the debate issues.
