Nowadays, international economic treaties become most measures in regulating these relations, at the first position in international economic law system, whose characteristics and changes embody the principal characters and developing trend of international treaties. However, what are international economic treaties? If international economic treaties have any particular characteristics and law on earth? No answer and solution can be found theoretically in the international economic law and treaty law in the past.Based on the most important international economic treaties designed by Chinese government and the relevant documentary materials, the dissertation preliminarily explores the concept and definition of the international economic treaties, as well as the contemporary characteristics and the cause they come into being. The big difference between economic treaties and other international treaties is that economic treaties can set up rules for the privates, also have a significant impact on the economic interests of the third country. More exclusions and exceptions make"soft constraints"phenomenon in international economic treaties. In respect of treaties'legislation, in addition to the formation of"bundling"or"packaging"agreements, treaty negotiations become more and more flexible. At the same time, the author demonstrates and forecasts the future development tendency of international economic treaties, and points out that increasing coordination comes out among different economic treaties, various international organizations actively cooperate, and economic treaties are great affected by the country's economy and foreign policy. Moreover, with the rapid development of regional trade agreements, non-governmental organizations have a great influence on the signing and development of the economic treaties. In the end, the writer puts forward some practicable countermeasures and suggestion in signing and application of international economic treaties in our country.
