The study starting from the social networks theory,through the survey of 144 drug treatment personnel in nan'an district chongqing describes the basic social support networks of drug addicts, and use statistical methods for analyzing the relations of these variables. The study found that the social support network of drug addicts is small ,and the drug network size is larger than the size of the economic support networks, and economic support networks is larger than emotional support network size. With the deepening of the level of drug abuse, the size of drug support network change greatly, and emotional and economic support networks has changed little. Drug network keeps secrecy and strong solid characteristics.The density of drug networks is either weak or strong. Drug addicts in obtaining drug support targets mostly homosexual, but most cases are heterosexual in obtaining emotional and economic support. These variables: long drug use, network size, the number of drug treatment, injection drug use and needle-sharing among injecting behaviour had a strong correlation. Through logistic regression analysis found that the looting and theft behaviors greatly lead to injection drug use and needle-sharing injecting drug use. Through the above analysis and discussion , the author try to find the fundamental characteristics of social support networks among groups of drug abuse ,and the relation between those characteristics and drug abuse levels . Based on these findings, the author suggest a number of measures about the appropriate treatment of drug abuse.
