With the reforming and opening since 1978, our society was undergoing a thorough economical development and social improvement. At the same time, our country has turned such a rapid period of modernization, industrialization and urbanization era. As well as social fluxion stimulated by the factors above, there was a current phenomenon that many a rural men migrated into urban, motivated labor force transferring. It resulted in a high attention for those transported people especially on their families. Take the left-behind children as an example, whether they can adapt to the new life? How do they confront the life in which is absent form parents? Do they have the resilience which can help them to adjust to the new environment? Those are questions I want to find answers. This paper bases on the left-behind children in Chifeng Youqi District of Inner-Mongolia. It uses the convenient sample to choose four children, as well as in-depth interview, case study, observation and literature review. I analyze the basic mechanism of the children'resilience and explore the forms of the resilience. It concludes that the mechanism consists of the inner factor and outer factor. The former includes the recognition to the parents'working outside, their emotion of parents'working outside, and their choosing acts. The latter comprises the family's economic base and the parents'support and the qualities in the school. The resilience of the left-behind children has both the active and positive sides. The active side is showed by the acceptance of the lag-behind lives and the expectation of the significant others, the outlets of the negative emotions, learning the new skills and shouldering the family's responsibility. The passive side is reflected by the neglect of others'exclusion, reducing the hurt of the pressure, keeping away the unwilling things, getting rid of the things form attitude, cognition and action, especially the pressure and the adversity, being unable to build the ability on uncertain things instead of dealing with the things which are under control, thus to construct the sense of victory. This research also tried to advocate social work practice approaches at four levels as case work, group work, community work and social policy to reflect better ways towards the service due these left behind children, and so does it benefit the social work professional research and education study by an entire understanding on issues of left-behind children.
