In general, children under 16 left in the original residence are defined as the left-behind children by the academic society, whose parents or parent are out of town for more than six months. The left-behind children have caused widespread concern because of its uniqueness. With China's urbanization, industrialization moving forward, as well as the rural surplus labor forces transferring to the developed areas, the large number of the migrant workers will not go down .Thus, the issue of the left-behind children will be staying in a fairly long period.The party and government have paid more attention on the issue of the left-behind children, and many scholars also have conducted in-depth studies and explorations. Therefore, a study on the left-behind children in china will undoubtedly have great theoretical and practical significance.There are five chapters in this research. In the first chapter, it explains the reasons why the author writes the essay and presents the idea, methods, and significance of writing it. In the second chapter, it interprets the concept of the left-behind children, and analyzes why the left-behind children have to stay at home from their parents, the reasons mentioned here including the income level, working and living conditions, the urban and rural compulsory education system and other aspects. The third chapter focus on the society of the issue of the left-behind children from the theoretical perspectives, which including Social rights poverty theory, Parental upbringing theory, All-accepted education theory, and Personality development theory. The forth Chapter deepens the study of the left -behind children through field work and case studies, demonstrating what overall effects have been made on the left-behind children when their parents have to work in the city by interviewing the left-behind children and their teachers in YAZIGANG CENTRAL SCHOOL of Hanshou County, Hunan Province. Finally, this essay puts forward some reasonable proposals for the left -behind children from the perspective of the integrated forces of society, including responsibilities from government, community, school, family as well as the left-behind children themselves, further stressing that the issue of the left-behind children could be solved successfully only through the integrated forces of society working together and engaging a productive corporations.This study can enrich the academic research related to the issue of the rural left-behind children, attracting more eyes on the left-behind children for all level, promoting a feasible solution to this problem. This study can also make its own contributions for the construction of harmonious society and construction of new socialist rural area.
