Diplomacy, the British Government has always been a sensitive nerve in the politics, but also an integral part of its core. Accomplishing something in the diplomatic any session is actively pursued by the British Government. After the cold war, the development of the international and domestic situations has brought to the British diplomacy no small impact. With the National Socialist regime's collapse of the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe and the end of the Cold War, the international situation has undergone profound changes: sweeping the world, globalization has brought challenges and opportunities to countries in the world; the end of the Cold War has brought division and union to the relationship between different western nations, the expansion of the EU and NATO have opened the curtain, and the west started the strategic focus of transfer, Britain's strategic position gradually has declined. In the country, as the rigid style of diplomacy adopted by the Conservative government, the UK is increasingly isolated in the EU, the United States and Britain's "special relationship" greatly has reduced, which has thrown Britain into great trouble.Under the pressure from the international and domestic situation, influenced by Anthony Giddens' international relations theory, the Blair government, since coming to power in 1997, with a positive, pragmatic and flexible attitude, began to readjust its foreign policy, in a bid to reshape the image of the UK. The Blair's government actively has strengthen the cooperation with the EU countries, has strongly maintain the traditional relations with the United States, strengthen its relations with other nations and international organizations and extensively carry out multilateral cooperation, under the pretext of defending human rights in the international community, implement the "new interventionism." However, the Blair government's foreign strategy is not an easy trip, which were successively in the road suffered from the international and domestic challenges, which cause the Blair to Teach an overall compromise. This paints the Blair government's foreign policy a color of three distinct pragmatic, inheritance, idealism. With a general view of the Blair government's foreign policy, compared with the previous Conservative government, a great improvement can be seen. However, nowadays, the country is still the basic unit of the international community, national interests remains the starting point and end-result of the country's foreign policy, certainly the United Kingdom is no exception. The Blair government's foreign policy is essentially to protect the Western world "unipolar" domination and hegemony, finally in order to seek the greatest British national interests. The Blair government's foreign policy has had a profound impact on the UK and the international community: on the one hand, the Blairs actively strengthen international communication and interaction, make the UK's vioce lould in the international affairs, enhance the UK's international image and international status; on the other hand, as a result of the implementation of certain policies, meanwhile a negative impact has brought illness to the UK and the international community, which unfortunately the Blairs to be overwhelmed by multichallenge.
