The left-behind children phenomenon appeared in the process of the development of industrialization and urbanization in China. It is a social problem which should be deserved close attention. Based on the real data of the left-behind children in Shangyi County and Huai'an County, the two national poverty-stricken counties in Hebei, this paper analyses the relevant factors deeply from multiple points of view, and puts forward some workable solutions. These will offer some maneuverable measures and reference to solve the problems.Adapting the questionnaire method, interviewing method and observational method, etc., this paper makes deep survey on the state of family education, school education and society affection. The result shows that after the parents'leaving, the left-behind children lack for family affection and family education. They have notable psychological problems, bad living state, worrying study situation, and have hidden trouble in their security. All these aspects have bad effects on their growth. On the base of thorough research,the paper analyses the reasons of the forming left-behind children phenomenon. We find that the transfer of rural workforce is the direct reason, the dual structure of city and country is the basic reason, the new theory of Futility of Schooling is the subjective reason and slow solving of the problems facing agriculture, rural areas and farmers is the objective reason. Also, the paper analyses the main problems in the phenomenon by making use of the theories of sociology, pedagogy and psychology. The lack of family affection causes the rapid increase of the psychological problems for the left-behind children, lack of educating in their study results in the bad study situation, lack of help in their lives leads to notable living problems and lack of guardianship causes the increase of hidden trouble of their security. Based on these, the paper makes detailed analysis on the factors that have effects on the left-behind children from family, school and society. We think that the weak family-education consciousness and poor guardianship are the main factors that affect the family-education on the left-behind children; the insufficiency of faculty and preparation in rural school education and the lack of outlays for running schools have direct effect on their school-education; relative lag of the relevant policy and rules of law make it difficult to solve their study and living problems according to the present law; to some extent, the grass-roots units'inadequate regard to the left-behind children makes the problems more serious.According to the analysis result, the paper puts forward the countermeasures and advice to solve the left-behind children problems: accelerating the reform of household registration system, canceling illogical restriction to the farmer-laborers'kids in education, obtaining employment and medical treatment, so that to establish the policy guarantee system; strengthening the role of school-education, family-education and society-education to establish the education guarantee system; to make use of the weapon of law to protect the legal interest of the left-behind children and intensify publicity and education of law to establish the law security system for the rural left-behind Children.
