Marx And Engels's Concept On Socialism Core Values

Since reform and opening up, China's economic, politics, cultural and social life are undergoing profound changes. Social values are diversified. The emergence of multiple of values reflects the changing progress of China from the traditional to modern, from closeness to openness, from backwardness to progress. At the same time, each community should have its own core values so as to command and disposable the other subordinate values, and to standardize the development of social behavior, stable social order, and provide the motive power. Therefore, China needs to build its own socialism core values with Chinese characteristics. In recent years, the academic of China concerned about establishment of socialism core values very much, and a number of scholars put forward their own views on how to build a socialism core values. Most of them draw nutrition from the Marxist theories; however, the study of Marx and Engels on the concept of socialist core values is rare. And our establishment of the socialism core values must adhere to the theoretical guidance of Marxism. On the one hand, as Marxism is a scientific world outlook and methodology, our country can not be separated from the establishment and development of the guidance of Marxism; On the other hand, we can find Marx and Engels'concept of socialism core values through the study of their theories. In this paper, we found that Marx and Engels toke the achievement of the liberation of all mankind as their ideological thrust, and put forward social development theory and the theory of social formation theory. On this basis, combined with the values of capitalist society-led criticism, Marx and Engels set out their vision on the future society: the future society should be a "social forms which take each individual's full and free development as the basic principles." To achieve "full and free human development" is the highest value and the ultimate goal of socialism society and communist society, which contains Marx and Engels on the concept of socialist core values. And the concrete embodiment is as follows: Marxism Engels'freedom, equality, ideology and the concept of democracy. Marx and Engels'concept of socialist core values is the theoretical support for us to build socialism core values with Chinese characteristics. Beside of these, the people-oriented concept embodied in Marx and Engels'theories give us great inspiration on the idea of socialist construction and development. At the same time, we should practice Marxism scientifically and appropriately, and perform Marxism's role of theoretical guidance fully.
