After 9/11 attack, UK treads on the heels of US, grasps the opportunity of Anti-terrorism, and strengthens the special relation of UK-US. In Iraq War started by USA, UK follows USA to join the war, ignoring the allied country and world opinion goes against, which makes the special relation of UK-US to reach the highest point. Iraq War is also the turning point of the special relation of UK-US. Both UK and USA which fall deeply into the Iraq war mire have to change their own foreign policy, especially after the new leaders assuming the reins of government. There is special historical and cultural background in the formation and development of the special relation of UK-US, but the relation bases on the common interests. The development of the special relation of UK-US has high and low points, which can reflect it. The leaders' personal fellowship of two countries also plays an important role in the relation. The special relation of UK-US not only influences both UK and USA, but also influences the world pattern and the relation of UK -USA and the Europe.This article takes the special relation of UK-US sharpening in Iraq War as visual angle, carding the background and course in the developing relation between the two countries, analyses the strategy that why the two countries can form such special relation and the friability of the basis which the special relation of UK-US bases on. The Britain and the USA relation to European Union also affect special relation of UK-US.
